Products of the Company

At DENSO Manufacturing Hungary Ltd. power train control systems for the automotive market are produced. DMHU has two lines of activities:

One product line comprises diesel products, especially diesel distributor injection pumps. In 1999 the mass production of the traditional ECD-V5 type pump had started at our site. The following technological development with the aim to reduce air pollution made DENSO designing a Common Rail diesel distributor pump, which significantly reduces the level of emission of diesel cars. This product has been developed first of all for the European market, where the regulations concerning air-polluting gases are a lot stricter. In our plant, the production of the Common Rail System began in 2003.

The other group of products consists of System Control Components (SCC). With these components the different features of the engine (fuel consumption, emissions, and moment performance) can be modified. In this way, it is possible to combine efficiently, economical and environmentally friendly operations.

The following overview should give a better idea about our products and their functions.

DIESEL products

Common Rail System from Oct. 2003.
The high-pressure pump ensures that the fuel
is supplied in proper quantities and at an appropriate rate for a perfect combustion.

DVSV
Duty Vacuum Switching Valve from Dec. 2002.
Reduces emissions by recycling fuel vapours
collected within the tank.

EGR-V
Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve from June. 2003. By the exhaust gas recirculation, the level of oxygen concentration is reduced in the intake
air in order to lower combustion rate and temperature, which allows a significant decrease in NOx emission.

ETC
Electronic Throttle Control Unit from July 2003.
Enables fine electronic regulation of intake air
in order to optimize the combustion process, and thereby reducing the quantity of harmful emissions.

GASOLINE products

UC Injector
Universal Concept Injector from Nov. 2005. The function of the gasoline UC injector is to produce the air-gasoline mixture and to atomize the adequate quantity into the explosion space of the motor.

OCV
Oil-flow Control Valve from Oct. 2004.
This part is responsible for controlling the direction and amount of oil pumped into the VCT. Together with the VCT it makes up the so-called VVT (Variable Valve Timing) system.

System Control Components
(SCC products)

VCT
Variable Camshaft Timing from Oct. 2002.
Regulates the timing of the valve operation by turning the camshaft off the crankshaft. Thus, a proper engine power (torque) and optimum fuel consumption within the engine can be provided.

Spark Plug
From June 2004. The spark plug ignites the air-fuel mixture in the engine cylinder by generating sparks between the center electrode and earth electrode.
