About Us

DENSO Manufacturing Hungary Ltd.

DENSO Manufacturing Hungary Ltd. (DMHU) as a part of the DENSO Group has been operating in Hungary since July 1997. The two main shareholders of the company are DENSO Corporation and DENSO International Europe B.V. with a proportion of 70 percent and 30 percent ownership, respectively. In Hungary, this is DENSO’s first investment, while in Europe our company is the fifth manufacturing plant. The plant which was established with an investment of 75 million € is located in the Sóstó Industrial Park in Székesfehérvár. The Japanese management selected the town among 14 European cities.

The size parameters of our factory are:

Building: 60,200 m2
Covered surface: 15,400 m2
Green area: 135,200 m2

Quality, Environmental Protection and Safety

In our company, quality management, environmental protection and safety engineering all have outstanding roles to play.

We acquired ISO 14001 certification in 1999. DMHU applies several pioneering environmental management tools that support the improvement of our environmental performance.

Our quality management system covers all our processes, encouraging and stimulating improvement in all aspects of work.

Our EcoVision program was launched in 2001 with an aim to reduce the greenhouse effect, increase our “green” procurements, eliminate landfill wastes, and deepen environment-awareness in our management.

Our company’s Occupational Health and Safety Management System was certified according to OHSAS 18001 requirements in January 2001.

DMHU issues sustainability reports periodically. In 2002 we became the first automotive supplier in the world to issue an audited “in accordance” sustainability report.

In March 2003 DMHU became the first DENSO overseas subsidiary to achieve “Zero Landfill Emission”. One year later we became the first European automotive company to receive the European Union Environmental Award.
